Application of neurosonography during the surgery in newborn with suprasellar arachnoid cyst

We present a case report of surgical treatment of supracellar arachnoid cyst which blocked CSF outflow on the level of third ventricle in 5 months newborn. Taking into account the age and accompany somatic pathology we performed cystoventriculoperitoneostomy by using of neurosonographic navigation. Choosing approach allows to avoid complications, associated with open surgery. Precision of cyst puncture was achieved with help of ultrasound intraoperative control. This surgical technique can be effectively used in newborns with similar lesions.
