Using intrumental methods for diagnostics of lower extremity nerves traumatic lesions

The clinical and neurophysiological tests of nerve trunk functions were performed in 944 patients with different traumatic injuries (of whom 91% had been operated). Basing on the electrophysiological investigation data on pre-, intra- and post-operative stages, the objective criteria for estimation of the level, type and degree of lower extremity nerve lesions were obtained.
The detailed clinical-electroneuromiographic estimation in each case improved the possibilities to define the regeneration and reinnervation stages, choosing optimal terms, consequence and methods for reconstructive operations. These investigations are perspective for creating diagnostic and treatment medical standards for nerve traumatic lesions.
