Role of computed tomography in diagnostics of intervertebral disc herniation and degenerative spinal stenosis in patients with lumbar ostheochondrosis

Computed tomography was emploed and analyzed of 72 patients with intervertebral disc herniation and degenerative lumbar stenosis. СT made it possible to accurately localize the disc hernia and degenerative lumbar stenosis, determine its size, nature of displacement and effects on the roots and dural sac, nitrogen presence in the disc. CT gives an idea of pathologycal process in the affected motor segment and facilitates cnsiderable the choise of the adequate treatment.References
