Prognosis and prevention of infections complications after spinal cord tumor surgery

We analyzed infections complication (sepsis and menigitis) in 202 patient who underwent surgery on spinal cord tumors. In 28 cases those complications were developed. Main risk factors were defined and methods of theirs prevention were elaborated. Introduction of preventive measures allows to reduce infections complication rate on 7 percent.
