Microsurgical endoscopic anatomy of cerebral ventricles
Keywords:
brain, ventricles, endoscopy, topography, microsurgical anatomyAbstract
Microsurgical anatomy of the third and lateral ventricles was studied using endoscopic images in 49 cadavers with intact and affected brain (hydrocephalus, tumors). Present atlas of microsurgical anatomy of cerebral ventricles can be used by neurosurgeons as a help full guide for endoscopic interventions. Study results allow to develop adequate approaches to the different lesions of ventricular system during in the planning of surgical interventions.
