Surgical treatment of sacral cyst in adult
Keywords:
cyst of the sacral canal, surgeryAbstract
Twenty-nine patients were analyzed whom operative treatment of sacral cysts undertaken (age from 40 till 55 years, 19 female and 10 male). The following variants of cysts are allocated: 1) perineural or Tarlovs cyst (in 16 patients); 2) extradural meningeal cyst (in 6); 3) meningeal diverticulum (in 2); 4) intradural leptomeningeal cysts (in 2); 5) sacral-presacral cyst in structure Currarino triad (in 3). Immediately after intervention the regress of a neurology signs achieves in 26 patients. On the data of last control inspection, the radicular pain has disappeared, in all cases displays of radiculopathies essentially have decreased. Pelvic disfunction (incontinence of urine, dysmenorrhea, impotency) partially regressed in all patients. The expressed positive correlation between presence of radicular signs and excellent result of operations was revealed.
