The aspects of diagnostics and surgical treatment of meningiomas of the tentorial notch are described in the article. 5 clinical cases were analyzed by the authors. The tumors of lateral localization were removed through the lateral suboccipital retrosigmoid (2 cases) and combined supra-, subtentorial (1 case) approaches. Meningiomas of postero-medial localization were removed through the subtentorial-supracerebellar (1 patient) and combined supra-, subtentorial (1 case) approaches. There were no postoperative mortality.
The rational surgical approach is chosen individually, depending on the intrascopic picture of disease, emphasize.
