trigeminal neuralgia, balloon compression, surgical treatmentAbstract
The first experience of 8 patients with trigeminal neuralgia surgical treatment, using the method of trigeminal ganglion percutaneous balloon compression in the Meckel’s cave was presented. The details of technique and tools, necessary for this procedure were described. The early and remote results of treatment with this method appliance were analysed. The estimation of efficiency and prospects of percutaneous balloon compression appliance for resistant trigeminal neuralgia treatment were given.
