Results of inspection and treatment of 62 patients with cauda equine ependimomas, operated during 1988–2007 are analyzed. All tumors were intradural. According to their localization the tumors are divided on: cauda equine ependimomas, growing from spineterminal part and extending among cauda equine structures; cauda equine ependimomas, primarily located among cauda equine roots and usually arising on filum terminale. In all cases the tumor was removed totally. Relapses’ frequency was about 3,2%.
