arteriovenous malformation, functional MRIAbstract
The impact of fistular, plexiform and mixed variants of AVM on locomotor activity activation in sensory-motor zones of brain hemispheres in 17 patients was studied with functional MRI application. In case of fistular AVMs with expressed arterio-venous shunting the locomotor activation was not revealed. The AVM impact on activation in ipsilateral and contralateral hemispheres was relatively variable in all variants of AVM.
