The clinical and prior results of cubital tunnel syndrome surgical treatment
Keywords:
cubital tunnel syndrome, surgical treatmentAbstract
In the clinic of recovering neurosurgery in 1990–2003 years 72 patients with cubital tunnel syndrome was operated on.
The duration of the disease from 1 month to 10 years. The following surgical treatment of these patients was performed — neurolisis and decompression of cubital nerve on the level of cubital joint; in 52 — the cubital nerve was moved into the bed made of soft tissues in the front surface of the cubital joint; in 27 — the stimulating electrode was implanted in addition (for electrostimulation in postoperating period).
In the early postoperating period we obtained positive results in 61% cases, in 17% — the pain syndrome has disappeared, in 31% — we noticed reduction of pain intensity and duration. In 50% cases we noticed the increase of movements range.
