Ways of optimization in rural regions of Ukraine urgent neurosurgical help

While using information system «Medic-CCT» («Medic - cranio-cerebral trauma») there was traced a dynamics of cranio-cerebral traumatism development among Donetsk inhabitants and people of three rural areas of the region. There was studied 13737 cases in total of those who suffered cranio-cerebral trauma and who were provided help in neurosurgery departments of Donetsk, and 575 cases of cranio-cerebral trauma of those who were treated in Central regional hospitals. Dynamics of cranio-cerebral trauma in rural area has a clear tendency of growth corresponding to growth speed of cranio-cerebral trauma of city population. Improvement and optimization of providing timely and qualified Neurosurgical help will be possible both as a result of reprofiling beds for surgical hospital departments into Neurosurgical beds, and as a result of wide implementation of Tele-, radio-communication systems into practical medicine.
