Complications during transpedicular fixation system usage for thoracolumbar spinal injury
Abstract
In this article analyzed the main interoperative complications during use transpedicular fixation in 144 patients with thoracolumbar spinal injury. Also the early and the follow up period post operations have been analyzed. The authors believe that the highest risk of complications is connected with screws misplacement and misdirection of the screws insertion, angle and inexact choice of screws sizes. Most complications can be avoided by exact precise choice of screws sizes and observing the rules of stabilization system insertion technique.References
