Keywords:
permanent brain damage, glioma, forecasting, the amount of diagnostic factorsAbstract
The study presents the results obtained while prognosticating the brain vital damages in 1056 supratentorial glioma patients. It also defines the basic prognostically unfavourable signs involved in the development of vital disorders. Leading among these are: old age, low quality of preoperative life, vascular and hypertensive type of disease, pronounced anaplasia, the ability of tumor to accumulate contrast, tumor deep seating, tumor removal totality. The predominance of unfavourable signs evidences of the high surgical risk, which may be lowered by using the ultrasonic aspiration in microsurgical techniques.
