Surgical treatment of patients with deforming muscular dystonia syndrom: a literature review

Dystonia, is a movement disorder resulting from dysfunction of the basal ganglia and thalamus. The etiopathogenesis of the different type of dystonia and location of the pathological change in the brain in cases of Symptomatic (secondary) dystonia in the literature are is discussed.Dystonia musculorum is often refractory to all forms of therapy.
The paper reviewed the surgical methods and outcome of treatment of dystonia.
The advantages and disadvantages, the possible complications used operative methods and ways of theirs warning is reflected.References
