Abstract

On the base of 42 brain meningiomas of different histological structure and the degree of malignancy their hormonal dependence has been defined. The structural and metabolic peculiarities of these tumors have been studied. The factors of hormonal dependence of some forms of brain meningiomas have been defined and the expediency of including of pathogenic treatment methods such as hormones (antiestrogens and antiprogestins) have been proved. The per formed catamnestic analysis proved the necessity of administration of hormone medicines after surgical treatment and detailed morphological examination.
